Two Arrested in Mira Road for Blackmail and Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old

The Kashimira and Kashigaon police in Mira Road have arrested two suspects and registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act after a 14-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly blackmailed and sexually assaulted by six individuals.

The survivor, a ninth-standard student, resides in Mira Road with her mother. According to police details, the ordeal began in June when a 25-year-old man secretly recorded a video of the minor while she was changing her clothes.

Using the secretly recorded footage, the culprit began blackmailing the girl by threatening to make the video viral across social media platforms. The harassment escalated into sexual assault involving six individuals.

Following the report of the crime, local police registered an official case under the POCSO Act and took two suspects into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
