Two Buses Collide Near Zharivinayak Temple in Ratnagiri, Children Injured

A major road accident occurred near the Zharivinayak Temple in the Bhatye area of Ratnagiri, when two buses collided at around 7 am, leaving several children injured and damaging a private vehicle.

According to reports, one of the buses involved in the collision was travelling on its route from Ambolgad towards Ratnagiri. As the vehicle approached the stretch near Bhatye by the Zharivinayak Temple, it collided with another bus, causing extensive structural damage to both large vehicles.

Several children were travelling on board the bus at the time of the incident. A few of the young passengers sustained injuries as a result of the impact between the two vehicles.

Alerted by the collision, local residents from the surrounding neighbourhood immediately rushed to the scene to assist. The residents carried out rescue efforts, helping the children exit the damaged bus and arranging for their transport to the nearby district hospital, where the injured were admitted for medical treatment.

The collision also impacted a private car that was travelling directly behind one of the buses. The vehicle, a Creta, belonged to Dr Godse, who was driving along the road on his way to drop his daughter off at school when the crash occurred.

Dr Godse's car was caught in the incident and sustained extensive damage across its front section. Fortunately, none of the occupants inside the car suffered any injuries in the accident.

Visuals of the aftermath that surfaced on social media showed severe destruction to both buses, with their front portions heavily damaged from the impact. The incident has raised serious concerns over road safety conditions in the area.
