Two Injured After Tenement Portion Collapses in Brahmand, Thane West

A portion of a 25-year-old tenement collapsed in the Brahmand area of Thane West during the early hours of Friday, August 14, leaving two people injured and leading to the temporary evacuation of three buildings.

The incident took place near Swastik Park Society, close to Rainbow School in Brahmand, situated in the Manpada region of Thane. Official alerts regarding the structural collapse were logged at approximately 2:48 am.

According to municipal officials, two individuals sustained minor leg injuries as a result of the collapse.

Following an assessment of the site, authorities declared the remaining portion of the tenement structure hazardous. As a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of local residents, officials ordered and executed the temporary evacuation of three nearby buildings.
