Two Jogeshwari Teenagers Drown in Water Tank at Aarey Milk Colony

Two teenagers drowned in an 80x80-foot water tank at Gautam Nagar in Aarey Milk Colony, Goregaon East, on Friday morning.

The deceased have been identified as 14-year-old Nakeeb Usman Khan, a Class 10 student, and 15-year-old Zaid Patel, a college student. Both boys were residents living around Jhula Garden in Jogeshwari East.

The tragedy came to light at around 11 am when an unidentified caller contacted the police control room to report that two boys had fallen into the water body.

Following the alert, personnel from the Aarey police and the Marol Fire Brigade rushed to the site to carry out rescue efforts.

Police officials were later able to establish Khan's identity with the help of his wristwatch.
