Two seniors and Ukrainian woman booked after police raid at Alibaug flat

Police booked two senior citizens and a Ukrainian national early on Sunday following a raid at a private party in Alibaug. The law enforcement operation was conducted at a flat in the Inner Circle Society, located in Saral village, Navi Mumbai.
According to authorities, the police action was initiated after they received a specific tip-off regarding the private gathering. The flat, situated in the Inner Circle Society of Saral village, was the central location of the police operation.
Upon entering the premises, officers allegedly caught the two senior citizens in the act of consuming cannabis. Police officials stated that the officers found the two men smoking cannabis-filled paper rolls during the search of the flat.
Following the raid, a criminal case was registered against the two senior citizens under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. The police booked the duo under multiple sections of the NDPS Act. These charges include Section 8(c), which relates to the prohibition of certain operations, Section 20(b), which covers the punishment for violation, and Section 27, which addresses the illegal consumption of narcotics.
During the same operation at the Inner Circle Society flat, police officers also encountered a Ukrainian woman who was present at the venue. The officers proceeded to conduct a verification of her travel documents on the spot.
The verification process allegedly revealed that the Ukrainian national's visa had already expired on June 12. Because she was unable to produce any valid travel or identification documents authorising her continued stay in India, the police registered a separate case against her. This case was filed under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
The police have registered the separate cases against the two senior citizens and the Ukrainian woman following the early Sunday raid in Saral village.
