Two teenagers drowned in separate incidents in Kandivali West, Mumbai, on Sunday afternoon, prompting emergency search and rescue operations. One of the incidents occurred at Dingeshwar Talav, which is situated in Charkop Gaon near the Rustomji Building in Kandivali West, where a 17-year-old boy drowned.

The second drowning incident involved a 16-year-old teenager in the Kandivali West area. Both incidents took place on Sunday afternoon, leading to a swift response from multiple emergency agencies.

Following the drownings, local police, emergency services, and rescue teams were mobilized to the sites. Personnel from the Mumbai Fire Brigade immediately launched search operations at the locations.

To bolster the ongoing search efforts, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was also mobilized. The NDRF was requested to join the operations following a formal appeal from the Mumbai Fire Brigade.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade led the initial response, deploying personnel to the spots where the teenagers were reported to have drowned. Recognizing the need for additional rescue capabilities, the fire brigade requested the mobilization of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), which subsequently joined the search.

Local police officers were also dispatched to the scenes in Kandivali West to assist the rescue teams and manage the areas. The search and rescue operations by the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the NDRF, and local police continued as officials worked to address the emergencies.

Officials have not released further details about the identities of the 17-year-old boy or the 16-year-old teenager. The exact circumstances that led to the separate drowning incidents in Kandivali West also remain undisclosed by the responding authorities. The mobilization of multiple emergency agencies highlighted the severity of the incidents in the suburban locality.
