Uddhav Thackeray Announces Ram Raksha Andolan in Dadar on July 5

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has announced that a "Ram Raksha Andolan" will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Hanuman Mandir in Dadar, Mumbai. The peaceful gathering and prayer event is scheduled to commence at 4:00 PM. The temple venue, Hanuman Mandir, is located at the site previously known as Kabutarkhana in Dadar.

The announcement of the Ram Raksha Andolan comes in response to public anger over a reported "theft" at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. According to Thackeray, the event is being organized to bring people together for peaceful prayers during this time.

Thackeray made a direct appeal to devotees of Lord Rama, Hindus, and members of the North Indian community to attend the gathering in Dadar. He urged citizens to participate in the event peacefully and to join the prayer services in large numbers.

By organizing the event at the Hanuman Mandir at the former Kabutarkhana site, the organizers aim to facilitate a peaceful assembly for devotees and local residents. The focus of the Ram Raksha Andolan remains on peaceful prayers and community solidarity in light of the reported incident in Ayodhya.
