Uddhav Thackeray Launches Ram Raksha Andolan Protest At Dadar Kabutarkhana

Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray launched the 'Ram Raksha Andolan' protest on Sunday evening in front of the Hanuman temple at Dadar Kabutarkhana in Mumbai. The protest was organized to demand an independent probe into the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ayodhya Ram temple.
Addressing the crowd in Dadar while drenched in a saffron kurta, Thackeray criticized the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the management of temple funds. He stated that while Hindus are naive and gullible, they are not stupid, adding that no Hindu would forgive those looting temples by taking advantage of their faith.
The protest in Dadar saw the participation of several priests who traveled from Ayodhya to join the Shiv Sena (UBT) leadership. During his speech, Thackeray declared that Ram belongs to everyone and claimed that the public desires a "BJP-free Ram."
Thackeray also made strong political statements against his opponents, accusing them of stealing his party and the bow and arrow symbol of Lord Rama. He likened his party's current symbol to the torch Hanuman used to burn Lanka, stating that they would not rest until they burn the "Lanka of injustice."
In his address, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief insisted on an independent investigation into the alleged misappropriation of temple donations. He warned that without an independent probe, those involved in the alleged embezzlement would receive a clean chit within four days.
The protest drew a sharp response from Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Speaking on the 'Ram Raksha' protest, Fadnavis expressed happiness that Thackeray had finally remembered Ram. Fadnavis claimed that Thackeray had previously strayed from the path of Ram, which he blamed for the decline of Thackeray's party. He advised the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader to recite the Ram Raksha prayer every day rather than just using it for a single day of protest.
