Ulhasnagar Group Unveils Ganesha Idol Crafted from Over 350 Smaller Idols

A unique Lord Ganesha idol composed of more than 350 smaller idols has drawn widespread attention in Ulhasnagar ahead of the annual Ganeshotsav celebrations.

Associated with the MM Group of Ulhasnagar, the massive idol has emerged as a major talking point among devotees and festival enthusiasts. Rather than following conventional sculpting styles, the creation brings together hundreds of individual miniature Ganesha idols to assemble a single, large representation of the deity.

The idol took shape at the workshop of renowned murtikar Arun Datte. Craftsmen at the workshop developed the unusual concept ahead of this year's festivities, focusing on an intricate structural assembly where each individual smaller idol integrates directly into the larger form of Lord Ganesha.

Unlike traditional festival idols that primarily rely on grand scale or elaborate backdrops to attract attention, the Ulhasnagar creation has stood out due to the specific thought and craftsmanship behind its construction. Observers and devotees have noted the blend of creativity and devotion involved in bringing the complex structure to life.

The creation has gained substantial visibility as Mumbai and surrounding areas prepare for the festive season with ongoing Ganesh Aagman ceremonies. Towering idols and elaborate thematic concepts have begun moving out of prominent workshop hubs, including Lalbaug and Parel, as mandals prepare for the celebrations.

As arrival processions continue across the metropolitan region, the Ulhasnagar idol has joined the roster of notable artistic expressions emerging from local workshops for this year's Ganeshotsav.
