Unidentified Man's Body Recovered From Nagla Bandar Creek Along Ghodbunder Road

The body of an unidentified man, estimated by authorities to be between 35 and 40 years old, was recovered from the Nagla Bandar creek along Ghodbunder Road at Bhayander Pada in Thane (West) on Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials from the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC), local authorities were alerted about the floating body at around 12.31 pm. The alert prompted immediate coordination among multiple civic and emergency response departments in the area.

Upon receiving the alert, a joint team was dispatched and rushed directly to the site at Bhayander Pada. The emergency response team comprised RDMC personnel travelling with a pickup vehicle, municipal firefighters equipped with a rescue van, and personnel from the local Kasarvadavali police station who arrived at the scene accompanied by an ambulance.

Rescue personnel from the fire brigade and the disaster management cell worked together at the creek to reach the location where the body had been spotted. The combined teams carried out the retrieval operation to extract the body safely from the waters of the Nagla Bandar creek.

"With the combined efforts of the fire brigade and disaster management teams, the body was retrieved from the water and handed over to the Kasarvadavali police," an official said regarding the retrieval operation.

After being brought ashore from the creek, the body was formally handed over to the Kasarvadavali police team present at the site. The body was subsequently transferred to the Thane District Civil Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Following the transfer of the body to the hospital, the Kasarvadavali police initiated further legal procedures related to the case. An investigation is currently underway by the police to establish the identity of the deceased man, whose identity remains unknown, and to look into the circumstances surrounding the recovery.
