Vasai-Virar Residents Stranded Without Power and Water for Over 48 Hours After Heavy Rain

Residents in Vasai-Virar have been left stranded in their residential buildings for over 48 hours following heavy rain that disrupted critical utilities.

The severe weather has cut off electricity and water supplies, while also disabling building elevators across the affected areas. The ongoing utility outages have created significant challenges for the local population.

Without functioning elevators, residents in multi-story buildings have found themselves stranded, unable to easily leave their homes or navigate their buildings. The lack of working lifts has severely impacted the daily mobility of the affected residents.

The situation is further complicated by the complete loss of electricity and water supply. For more than two days, households in Vasai-Virar have had to manage without power for lighting and appliances, as well as without access to regular water service.

The combination of no electricity, no water supply, and disabled elevators has left numerous families stranded inside their apartments. The disruption began following a period of heavy rainfall in the region, which impacted the local infrastructure.

As the situation crosses the 48-hour mark, residents continue to deal with the consequences of the severe weather. The lack of basic utilities remains a major concern for the affected community in Vasai-Virar.
