Versova Police Save 40-Year-Old Man in Sagar Kutir After Domestic Dispute

Officers from the Versova police station saved a 40-year-old man who attempted suicide following a domestic dispute at his home in the Sagar Kutir locality of Andheri (West) on Sunday. The police team reached the residence within five minutes of being alerted to the situation at 12:42 pm, successfully breaking into the house to intervene and prevent the loss of life.
According to officers from the Versova police station, the incident stemmed from an argument between the man and his wife over a domestic issue. Following the altercation, the 40-year-old took the extreme step inside his Sagar Kutir residence. A neighbour who noticed the emergency contacted the police control room to report the situation, prompting the control room to dispatch a local patrol team immediately.
The response team from Versova police station arrived at the Sagar Kutir location within five minutes of receiving the distress signal. Upon arrival, officers forced their way into the locked house to reach the man. Once inside, the police team administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the individual and managed to revive him at the scene.
After successfully reviving the man, the police team arranged for his immediate transfer to Cooper Hospital in nearby Vile Parle West for further medical evaluation and treatment. Hospital staff provided medical assistance until the individual regained consciousness and was deemed stable.
Once medical treatment was completed and his condition stabilized, the man was escorted back to his residence by the police officers. He was safely dropped off at his home in the presence of his family members. Police officials confirmed that the man was also provided with counselling following his discharge from the hospital.
The Versova police have not disclosed the identity or the profession of the 40-year-old man in order to maintain his privacy following the incident.
