Video Showing Rat in Food at Nalasopara East Outlet Sparks Hygiene Concerns

A video claiming that a large rat was found among rice and food items at 'Tavela Chaha–Jamjam Biryani,' a food outlet in the Wakadpada area of Nalasopara East, has gone viral on social media, triggering anger among local residents and raising serious concerns over food hygiene.
The viral footage allegedly shows the rodent inside containers holding rice and other food items at the commercial establishment. The circulation of the clip has sparked questions regarding the hygiene standards and safety protocols maintained at the eatery, alongside worries over the potential health risks posed to consumers.
Local residents have voiced sharp criticism over the alleged unhygienic conditions, stating that such negligence presents a severe threat to public health. Community members are now demanding an immediate official inspection of the premises to verify the authenticity of the video and evaluate whether food safety regulations have been breached.
Citizens have also appealed to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to take formal cognizance of the matter. They have urged the regulatory body to conduct a thorough inspection of the Wakadpada outlet and initiate strict punitive action if any violations of food safety norms are established.
