Vijay Wadettiwar Backs Tribal Students' Hostel Protest, Urges CM Fadnavis to Intervene

Congress Legislature Party leader and MLA Vijay Wadettiwar on Monday extended his support to tribal students protesting against the rules governing government-run hostels across Maharashtra, urging Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to address their concerns.

The students have launched a hunger strike and demonstration to demand changes to the regulations affecting their living conditions and administration in state-run tribal hostels.

Wadettiwar noted that the students had earlier raised several grievances directly with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' programme held in Pune.

Following that interaction in Pune, Gandhi wrote a letter to Fadnavis seeking his direct intervention to resolve the students' issues and ensure their hostel concerns are addressed by the state administration.
