Western Railway Announces Night Block Between Vasai Road And Vaitarna This Saturday

Western Railway will operate a jumbo night maintenance block between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations on the Mumbai suburban section during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The major maintenance block is scheduled to take place on the UP and DOWN Fast lines to facilitate crucial work on railway infrastructure.

According to an official press release issued by Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek, the block will begin at 11:55 PM on Saturday and conclude at 4:30 AM on Sunday. During this four-and-a-half-hour window, railway crews will carry out necessary maintenance work on the tracks, signalling systems, and overhead equipment between Vasai Road and Vaitarna.

The night block will cause a minor delay for at least one train service. Western Railway officials confirmed that the Virar–Bharuch MEMU train will be delayed by 10 minutes due to the ongoing work on the lines.

Despite the night-time disruption, Mumbai suburban commuters will have a smoother journey during the day. Western Railway announced that it will not operate any daytime block on its Mumbai suburban section this Sunday, allowing normal daytime services to run without scheduled maintenance interruptions.
