Wild boar enters Goregaon East housing society, trapped in storeroom

A wild Indian boar barged into a residential housing society in Goregaon East on the morning of August 5, causing panic among residents before being locked inside a ground-floor storeroom.

The animal unexpectedly entered the building compound through the main gate. Residents initially mistook the animal for a stray pig, but quickly realised it was a wild boar and raised an alarm across the premises.

With the boar moving around the society grounds, residents were instructed to stay away from the ground floor to prevent any direct confrontation or injury.

Society member Aadesh Chikne displayed quick thinking by carefully guiding the wild boar towards a ground-floor storeroom. As soon as the animal went inside, Chikne shut and locked the door to confine it.

The wild boar remained locked inside the storeroom until wildlife rescuers arrived at the housing society to take control of the situation.
