Woman injured in Mankhurd dilapidated building floor slab collapse

A 25-year-old woman was injured on Sunday evening, 12 July 2026, after the floor slab of a dilapidated, vacant building collapsed at Shree Saraswati Chawl in Ambedkar Nagar, PMGP Colony, located in Mumbai's Mankhurd.
The collapse led to a swift response from local civic officials, who were immediately mobilised to the site.
According to civic officials, the incident occurred at a vacant ground-plus-one (G+1) structure. The 25-year-old woman had entered the dilapidated building to dry clothes on the first floor. While she was on the upper level of the vacant house, the floor slab collapsed, causing her to sustain injuries.
Following the accident, emergency response and civic officials were immediately mobilised to the location at Shree Saraswati Chawl in Ambedkar Nagar. The personnel arrived at the PMGP Colony site to secure the area and address the aftermath of the structure's partial collapse.
