Worli Sea Face's Iconic Sportsfield Building Set for High-Rise Redevelopment

The iconic nine-storey Sportsfield building on Worli Sea Face is set to undergo redevelopment into a modern high-rise, marking a major transformation for one of the neighbourhood's most famous addresses.
The 39-year-old residential building has served as a prominent home to several of India's sporting greats for nearly four decades. Located along prime real estate on the Worli promenade, the structure is scheduled to be replaced with a high-rise offering modern amenities.
Among the celebrated residents associated with the property are cricket legends Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, and Dilip Vengsarkar. The building has housed numerous sports icons over the decades; while several of the sporting greats have retired and some have passed away, their families continue to reside in the building.
The redevelopment will reshape the nine-storey landmark as property demand and real estate values continue to rise across the Worli Sea Face stretch.
