Yogesh Kadam Orders Mira-Bhayandar Police to Probe Actress Sanchita Ugale Suicide

In a major development for the film community in Mumbai and Mira-Bhayandar, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has formally requested the immediate constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct an independent, impartial, and time-bound probe into the tragic suicide of Bollywood actress Sanchita Ugale. Following a high-level meeting, Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam directed the Commissioner of Police for Mira-Bhayandar to initiate a detailed investigation into the case.

Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, the President of the AICWA, met with Minister Kadam to personally submit the official request. During their discussion, Gupta emphasized the need for a thorough investigation, urging the minister to ensure that every aspect of the actress's death is examined by an independent SIT. According to the association, this step is essential to bring the complete truth before the public and to deliver justice to Sanchita Ugale's grieving family.

Upon receiving the request from the cine workers' body, Minister Kadam acted immediately. He directed the Commissioner of Police of Mira-Bhayandar to launch a detailed and comprehensive investigation into the suicide. The police department has been instructed to compile their findings and submit a detailed report to the Maharashtra state government at the earliest possible date to ensure a swift resolution.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association expressed its sincere gratitude to Minister Kadam for his prompt response to their appeal. Commenting on the decision, Gupta stated that the association remains firmly committed to supporting Sanchita Ugale's family in their ongoing pursuit of justice. He affirmed that the AICWA will continue to cooperate fully with the local police and state authorities until the truth is officially established and justice is served.
