Youths Perform Stunts and Draw Graffiti at Bhayandar Creek Railway Bridge
A group of youths allegedly entered the Bhayandar Creek railway bridge in Mumbai to perform dangerous stunts and draw graffiti, raising concerns regarding safety and the security of vulnerable railway property.
In footage circulated widely across social media platforms, the youths were seen accessing the underside of the railway bridge through a duct with the assistance of a ladder.
Three individuals were subsequently recorded hanging directly from the bridge railing, with water flowing several feet below them. During the video, one youth appeared to swing while hanging from the railing, while another performed pull-ups on the bridge structure. Towards the end of the recording, another person was seen allegedly drawing graffiti onto the bridge.
The video was initially uploaded to Instagram by the account 'sectorurbex', where it reportedly garnered over two lakh views and more than 4,500 likes. The account uploader claimed that the video was generated using artificial intelligence, though there has been no official confirmation verifying that claim.
The alleged incident sparked immediate concern among social media users, with several individuals demanding action against those involved and urging officials to inspect and secure the site. One user tagged Western Railway, the Divisional Railway Manager, the Railway Protection Force, and the Railway Ministry, describing the alleged damage to railway property as a serious safety concern.
The event raised questions regarding security arrangements surrounding vulnerable sections of railway structures and unauthorized access to infrastructure where a fall could lead to severe injury or death.
Following the online post, Railway Seva, the official support account for railway passengers, responded to the complainant. The account asked the user to share a mobile number via direct message to enable immediate action, while advising citizens to register complaints through the RailMadad portal or by calling 139.
At present, there is no confirmed information regarding whether the individuals seen in the video have been identified or if formal action has been taken against them. Railway authorities are yet to provide further details on the matter.
