7-Year-Old Ashram School Student Dies in Palghar, 26 Others Hospitalised

A seven-year-old Class 1 student at a residential ashram school in Maharashtra's Palghar district died after suffering from high fever and breathing difficulties, officials reported.

Following the child's death, 26 other students from the residential school were admitted to the hospital after exhibiting symptoms including cold, cough, and fever.

The health scare in Palghar comes shortly after another fatal incident at a residential facility in the state earlier this month, where three tribal girls died from a venomous snakebite after sleeping on the floor of a school hostel in Gadchiroli district.
