Actor Daisy Shah Slams Election Campaigners After Fire Breaks Out Near Bandra East Flat

A fire broke out in a residential house in the Bandra East area of Mumbai, allegedly during an election campaign, prompting actor Daisy Shah to publicly slam the campaigners for a lack of civic sense. The incident occurred at night while Shah was walking her dogs near her residence.
The actor expressed her outrage by sharing a video of the scene on her Instagram account. In her post, she criticized the campaign teams for their recklessness and called on political entities to ensure their hired staff exercise basic common sense.
Shah stated that the fire was sparked by campaigners bursting crackers in close proximity to residential buildings. She condemned the action, emphasizing that the incident was entirely preventable and resulted from careless behavior rather than a natural occurrence.
In her online statement, Shah wrote: "I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them."
She went on to express relief that her building's committee had blocked the campaigners from entering the premises. "Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door. Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it," she added.
Shah further criticized those responsible, writing: "This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME."
Shah condemned the use of fireworks near residential buildings, calling it a dangerous example of careless behavior that put lives at risk. The incident has highlighted growing concerns over public safety and civic responsibility during election campaigns in residential neighborhoods.
