Ashok Uike Urges Tribal Students in Pune to End 15-Day Hunger Strike

Maharashtra Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike has appealed to tribal students protesting in Pune to call off their agitation, stating that the state government is committed to resolving their concerns.

The minister's appeal on Thursday came as the hunger strike by the group of tribal students entered its 15th day. With the protest stretching over two weeks, several demonstrators have reportedly experienced a decline in their health.

Minister Uike met with the protesting students late on Wednesday to discuss their issues directly. Following the meeting, he assured the students that the state government is ready to address their grievances and urged them to end their fast.
