BJP MLA Mihir Kotecha Demands Probe into BMC Engineers Cash for Transfer Scam

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Mihir Kotecha has sought a detailed inquiry into allegations of "cash for transfer" involving Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) engineers in Mumbai.
In a formal letter addressed to Maharashtra Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, Kotecha raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the transfer process of civic engineers. The legislator claimed to have received information pointing to the existence of a "rate card" used for engineering transfers within the civic body.
Kotecha has also questioned the role of Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs) Avinash Dhakane in connection with the transfers.
In addition to seeking a comprehensive probe into the transfer process, the BJP MLA has demanded administrative action against the officials responsible for allegedly delaying responses to his requests for details regarding the matter.
