CM Fadnavis Directs Ganesh Mandals to Ensure Prasad Purity Under FDA Norms

MUMBAI — Ganesh mandals must ensure the purity and safety of prasad distributed during public Ganeshotsav 2026 and strictly comply with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) norms, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Thursday.

Fadnavis urged mandals across the state to familiarise themselves with established food safety regulations. He emphasized that organisers should actively seek necessary guidance and training to prevent food adulteration during the festival.

The directive requires public mandals to maintain standard food safety protocols to ensure that all devotees visiting the pandals are served pure, safe, and adulteration-free prasad throughout the Ganeshotsav celebrations.
