Daisy Shah Slams Election Campaigners After Fire Breaks Out Near Her Bandra East Flat

Actor Daisy Shah has publicly criticized election campaigners after a fire broke out in a house near her residential building in Mumbai’s Bandra East. The incident, which occurred at night while Shah was walking her dogs near her flat, prompted the actor to raise serious safety concerns regarding political campaigning practices in residential areas.

The fire reportedly broke out during an ongoing election campaign. Shah captured the incident on video and shared the footage on Instagram, where she expressed her outrage over the lack of civic responsibility shown by the campaign organizers.

According to Shah, the fire was triggered by campaigners bursting firecrackers in close proximity to the residential buildings. She strongly condemned the action, calling it a dangerous and reckless practice that put the safety of local residents at risk.

In her statement, Shah also revealed that her building’s committee had previously denied the campaign teams permission to conduct door-to-door visits inside the premises. She noted that the fire incident justified the committee's strict decision to keep the campaigners out.

"I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them," Shah wrote in her social media post. "Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door. Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it."

Shah further emphasized that the fire was entirely preventable, attributing it directly to the careless actions of the campaign team rather than any unavoidable circumstances.

"This is what happens when people lack civic sense," Shah added. "It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME."

She concluded by urging political parties to ensure that the teams they hire to run election campaigns are held accountable for their actions and maintain basic safety standards.
