Maharashtra Coordinates with Centre to Evacuate Citizens Stranded in Nepal Floods

The Maharashtra government is coordinating with the Union government to ensure the safe return of citizens from the state who are stranded in Nepal following devastating flash floods, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Thursday.

Speaking on the situation, Chief Minister Fadnavis confirmed that the state administration has established direct contact with people from Maharashtra caught in the aftermath of the severe floods across Nepal.

The state government is actively monitoring developments on the ground and working in close coordination with the Union government and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to provide relief and assistance to those affected.

Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that the Maharashtra administration has already held discussions with central authorities to facilitate the safe and prompt evacuation of all stranded residents.
