Maharashtra FDA Warns Against Fake Agents Offering Food And Drug Licences

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a public warning in Mumbai against individuals falsely claiming to be authorised agents or intermediaries offering to secure food and drug licences in exchange for money.

Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe stated that applicants do not need to approach any agent or intermediary to obtain a licence. He clarified that the administration has not appointed any agent, intermediary, third party, or organisation to facilitate the issuance of food or drug licences.

The regulatory authority urged drug manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and food business operators not to trust anyone claiming to represent the FDA for obtaining licences.
