Mumbai Lake Levels Reach 94.15 Per Cent Capacity With 13.62 Lakh Million Litres

The seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to Mumbai collectively held 13,62,624 million litres of water, reaching 94.15 per cent of their total live storage capacity as of 6 am on Wednesday, August 19, according to data from the Hydraulic Engineer's Department at the Bhandup Master Control Centre.
The overall water stock across the catchment areas has surpassed the levels recorded during the corresponding periods in both 2025 and 2024.
Among the seven reservoirs, Vihar, Tulsi, and Modak Sagar remained at 100 per cent of their live storage capacity.
The water levels recorded by the Hydraulic Engineer's Department at the Bhandup facility reflect substantial live storage across the system that caters to the city's daily potable water requirements.
