Palghar Police Probe Minor Girl's Death After Family Alleges Murder by Boyfriend

A 17-year-old girl was found dead in Palghar after leaving home with her boyfriend, prompting her family to allege murder and demand strict legal action against those involved.

The incident came to light after the minor teenager went out with her boyfriend last week. Two days after her departure, her family received a phone call informing them of her death. The sudden demise has triggered shock across the area as relatives raised serious allegations against the boyfriend.

According to the family, foul play was involved in her death. Relatives alleged that when the teenager's health began to deteriorate, critical time was wasted conducting prayers to Jesus by her side instead of immediately taking her to a hospital for medical treatment. The family contended that the failure to seek prompt medical attention contributed to the tragedy.

Asserting that her death was not accidental, the girl's relatives have demanded the strictest possible action against the boyfriend and anyone else connected to the incident.

Following the incident, the Kasa Police Station registered an Accidental Death Report and initiated an inquiry into the matter. Kasa Police Inspector Amar Patil stated that post-mortem samples have been sent for forensic testing to establish the exact cause of death.

Inspector Patil assured that a formal criminal case will be registered and further legal action will be taken as soon as the autopsy and forensic reports are received by the police.
