Powai Police Arrest Rajesh Prakash Singh for Murder of Specially Abled Son Yash

A 27-year-old man has been arrested by the Powai Police on murder charges after he allegedly killed his four-year-old specially abled son in the Morarji Nagar area of Powai, Mumbai. The incident, which took place on Friday morning, has shocked the local neighborhood.

The accused, identified by the police as Rajesh Prakash Singh, was living in a residence in Morarji Nagar along with his elderly mother and his two children.

According to police reports, the family had been experiencing severe domestic difficulties in the days leading up to the tragedy. Singh’s wife had reportedly left the family home approximately 15 days prior to the incident. Authorities stated that she chose to leave the household due to Singh’s ongoing unemployment and his struggles with alcohol addiction.

The deceased child, four-year-old Yash, was a specially abled child. Due to his condition, Yash was highly dependent on his family and relied almost entirely on milk for his daily nourishment.

On the morning of the incident, Yash began crying because he wanted milk. The sound of the child crying allegedly enraged Singh. In a sudden fit of anger, Singh grabbed the young boy and slammed him against a door inside the home. He then smashed the child’s head against the floor, inflicting fatal injuries. Yash died as a result of the physical assault.

Following the attack, the Powai Police were notified of the crime. Officers arrested Rajesh Prakash Singh on the scene. He has been charged with murder, and police are continuing their investigation into the tragic death of the four-year-old boy.
