Protection Wall Demanded at Khavdya Hill After Three Deaths in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A local representative in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has urged authorities to construct a high protection wall along the cliff of Khavdya Hill in Tisgaon, following a fatal incident that claimed the lives of three members of a family.

The demand was raised by Sachin Garad, chairman of the Zilla Parishad Finance Committee, who emphasised the urgent need for stronger preventive and safety measures at the site to prevent further casualties.

The appeal follows an incident on August 21, when three family members died after falling from the cliff edge at Khavdya Hill in the Tisgaon area.

Garad stated that existing safety measures at the hill were insufficient to protect visitors and locals. He called upon the district administration to step in immediately and take up the matter with the state government to secure the necessary approvals and funding for the safety barrier.

The construction of a high protection wall along the cliff is aimed at barricading dangerous edges and preventing accidental falls at the location.
