Six Booked After Viral Video Shows Dangerous Stunts Over Bhayandar Creek
The Railway Protection Force has taken action against six people, including a minor, after a viral social media video captured young men performing hazardous stunts and painting graffiti beneath a railway bridge over Bhayandar creek.
The incident took place on August 9, when the group allegedly entered railway premises without permission. They climbed down beneath the structure, hanging approximately 12 metres above the water to perform pull-ups, record stunt videos, and paint graffiti directly onto the railway bridge.
After footage of the dangerous acts circulated widely across social media platforms, the RPF initiated an investigation to track down those involved.
Investigators first traced 29-year-old Kishab Deepak Lohana, an accountant and graffiti artist, using his Instagram account and the registration number of a scooter that had appeared in his earlier video uploads. RPF officials contacted Lohana during an event at Khar Road on August 30, after which he reported to the RPF office in Bhayandar the following day.
During questioning, Lohana identified 21-year-old student Kuljeet Singh. Both individuals told investigators that they had travelled to Bhayandar creek on August 9 specifically to create art and perform stunts under the bridge.
The RPF subsequently identified three other adults involved in the incident: Amsal Khan, 18, a student and video editor; Tanish Sonawane, 18, a student and stunt performer; and Aditya Singh, 20, also a student and stunt performer. The sixth person involved is a 16-year-old minor whose name has been withheld by authorities.
