Youth Booked for Playing Pro-Pakistan Song over Loudspeaker in Ulhasnagar

The Hill Line police have registered a case against a youth after he allegedly played a song containing pro-Pakistan slogans and lyrics over a loudspeaker at Kailash Colony Chowk in Ulhasnagar on Wednesday.

According to police, the incident took place at a stage that had been set up at Kailash Colony Chowk for an Eid-e-Milad procession. The accused, identified as Nihal Abdul Wahid Ansari, allegedly used the sound system on the stage to play a track supporting Pakistan.

A passerby noticed the music, recorded a video clip of the incident on a mobile phone, and alerted the local police. Based on the video footage, personnel from the Hill Line police station detained Ansari for questioning.

Nearly 12 hours after the incident, police formally registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Ansari under Section 192 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which relates to provocation and intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace. The police subsequently served him a notice in connection with the case.

Following the incident, representatives from several local political parties and social organisations approached the police and submitted memorandums demanding stringent action against those responsible.
