18 Dead, Nearly 800 Affected by Monsoon Incidents in Thane District

Eighteen people have died in rain-related incidents in Maharashtra's Thane district since the onset of the monsoon, according to official statements and a district administration report released on Tuesday.
The severe weather has caused widespread disruption across the district, with nearly 800 residents impacted by various rain-triggered hazards, including floods, landslides, and wall collapses.
The official death toll reached 18 following two newly reported fatalities on Monday. District administration officials confirmed that these recent deaths were directly linked to monsoon-related events.
According to the district report, continuous weather disruptions have led to structural failures and dangerous conditions throughout the region, with wall collapses, landslides, and flooding being primary factors in the casualties and displacements.
In total, nearly 800 citizens across Thane district have been affected by these weather-related incidents as local officials track the impact of the ongoing monsoon.
