37 Stranded Maharashtra Pilgrims Evacuated from Nepal Floods, En Route to Mumbai

A group of 37 pilgrims from Maharashtra who were stranded amid floods in Saga, Nepal, have been brought to safety and have begun their journey back to Mumbai.

According to leaders from the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, the stranded travellers were moved out of the flood-hit region and transported by road from Kathmandu to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

From Gorakhpur, the pilgrims are scheduled to board a flight to complete the final leg of their return to Mumbai.

The successful evacuation and onward transit of the group have brought significant relief to their families back home following the challenging conditions created by the flooding in Nepal.
