7 Dead in Kurla Landslide as Search Continues for 2 Trapped Residents

Search and rescue operations continued for a second day on Thursday in the Sakinaka area of Kurla, Mumbai, where two people remain feared trapped under debris following a fatal landslide.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when heavy rains triggered a landslide near a hillock, striking a row of residential tenements. The collapse claimed seven lives and left seven other people injured.

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the fire brigade, and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are working jointly at the site. Rescue personnel continue to search through the heavy rubble to locate the two missing individuals.
