Animated Film 'Return Of The Jungle' Released In Bandra With 3.0 Rating

The Hindi animated adventure film 'Return Of The Jungle' officially released in theatres across India, including screens in Bandra, on May 29, 2026. Directed by acclaimed animator Vaibhav Kumaresh, the 1-hour-and-36-minute U-rated film has debuted to a 3.0 out of 5 rating from both critics and users.

The movie features a voice cast that includes Surendra Bhatia, Manish Bhawan, Arav Bhatia, Saurav Chakraborty, and Vaibhav Kumaresh himself. It is being highlighted as a wholesome, kid-friendly film that celebrates traditional Indian storytelling with warmth and humour.

The narrative revolves around a schoolboy named Mihir and his group of friends who find themselves constantly targeted by the most feared bully in their school. Unable to confront him directly, the children seek guidance from their grandfather, whom they affectionately call Thatha. Through a series of Panchatantra-inspired jungle stories, Thatha imparts valuable lessons of courage, empathy, teamwork, and wisdom. These tales gradually help the children discover solutions to their real-life problems, transforming a simple conflict into an uplifting journey of personal growth.

Critics have praised the film's visual appeal, noting that Kumaresh—known for popular animated creations like Simpoo and Lamput—and his team successfully blended modern Indian school life with vibrant, imaginative jungle landscapes. The character designs are described as fluid, expressive, and distinct, carrying a comforting familiarity for younger audiences.

The film's soundtrack, composed by Roto Shah and Advait Nemlekar, incorporates an energetic mix of traditional bhajans and folk melodies. While some reviews pointed out that the frequent musical interludes occasionally slowed the pace of the second half, the music was credited with adding a distinct cultural flavor to the production.

Though reviewers described the plot as straightforward and predictable, 'Return Of The Jungle' has been welcomed as a refreshing, homegrown alternative to Western-inspired children's films, offering family audiences in Bandra an engaging experience rooted in Indian heritage.
