Daisy Shah slams election campaigners after fire breaks out near her Bandra East flat

A fire broke out in a house in the Bandra East area of Mumbai, prompting Bollywood actor Daisy Shah to lash out at election campaigners for their lack of civic sense. The incident occurred at night while Shah was walking her dogs near her residence.

The fire reportedly broke out during an election campaign in the neighborhood. Shah, who witnessed the incident, expressed her outrage online by sharing a video of the scene on her Instagram account, highlighting the safety hazards caused by the campaign's activities.

In her public post, Shah strongly criticized the campaigners for their recklessness. She clarified that she does not support any political party but urged those managing election campaigns to ensure their teams act responsibly. She expressed concern over the safety of residents, pointing out that bursting firecrackers next to residential buildings is highly dangerous.

"I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them," Shah wrote on her social media page.

She also commended her building's committee for previously denying the campaign teams permission to go door-to-door. Shah noted that the decision of the committee was fully justified given the subsequent events.

"Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door. Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it. This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME," Shah added in her statement.

Shah condemned the use of fireworks in close proximity to residential complexes, describing it as a dangerous example of careless behavior that put the lives of local residents at risk. No further details regarding casualties or the extent of the damage caused by the fire were immediately available.
