BMC to Fill 790 Vacant Posts at Cooper and Jogeshwari Trauma Care Hospitals

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will launch a recruitment drive to fill 790 vacant posts across Cooper Hospital and the Hinduhridaysamrat Shivsenapramukh Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari. Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Health) Sharad Ughade gave this assurance during a meeting held on Tuesday at the Jogeshwari facility.
The large-scale hiring initiative is intended to resolve long-standing vacancies among doctors and other essential hospital staff, which have caused persistent difficulties for patients seeking treatment at both civic-run facilities.
The review meeting was chaired by Mumbai North-West Member of Parliament Ravindra Waikar at the Trauma Care Hospital. It was convened to urgently address pending healthcare concerns within the Mumbai North-West Lok Sabha constituency and at Cooper Hospital.
Along with the decision to fill the vacant personnel positions, civic authorities took several other key decisions during the discussion, including plans for the introduction of new hospital services to expand patient care.
The meeting was attended by Ughade, senior officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's health department, hospital administrators, and local representatives.
