Bombay HC Orders FDA to Reinspect Five MCA Eateries After Insects Found

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday directed the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to conduct a fresh inspection of five eateries situated on the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) premises in Mumbai.

The directive was issued after an earlier inspection revealed the presence of cockroaches and flies inside the kitchens of the food establishments.

During the court proceedings, the bench made a light-hearted remark regarding the unsanitary conditions, questioning whether cricketers were aware that tea served at the premises could be considered "non-vegetarian" due to the insect infestation.

The Maharashtra FDA has now been instructed to visit the five MCA eateries again to carry out a comprehensive reinspection of the facilities.
