Chinchpokli Chintamani Aagman Set for August 29 with Tirupati-Inspired Design

The arrival ceremony, or aagman, of the revered Chinchpokli Chintamani Ganpati idol in Chinchpokli, Mumbai, is scheduled to take place on August 29 as preparations gather pace for Ganesh Chaturthi 2026.

Regarded as one of the city's most prominent Ganpati idols, Chinchpokli’s Chintamani is set to feature a design inspired by Tirupati Balaji this year. The 24-foot-tall idol will be depicted seated upon a grand singhasan, or throne.

Across Mumbai, prominent Ganesh mandals and idol makers are working to complete their arrangements ahead of the annual Ganeshotsav festivities, with the Chinchpokli idol expected to draw significant attention during the celebrations.
