Colaba Civic School Headmaster Files BMC Complaint Against CJP School Audit Team

The Cockroach Janta Party's campaign to conduct civil audits of government schools has met with pushback in Mumbai after the headmaster of Colaba Market Civic School filed a formal complaint with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation against party members who inspected the facility.
The inspection in Colaba was part of the CJP's nationwide "School Theek Karo" initiative, which was launched on Independence Day. The campaign calls on citizens and volunteers to personally visit municipal and government schools to document basic facility standards and identify critical infrastructure gaps.
According to the CJP, the campaign evaluates essential school amenities including drinking water access, functional toilets, electricity supply, classroom infrastructure, safety measures, cleanliness, and the availability of teaching staff.
During their visit to the Colaba Market Civic School, the CJP audit team flagged multiple deficiencies across the premises. The auditors reported that a Telugu-medium section within the school suffered from a shortage of teachers and lacked adequate benches for students.
The team further highlighted severe maintenance and hygiene concerns, observing poorly sanitized toilets, nonfunctioning water faucets, and classrooms with garbage left strewn around.
Following the inspection, the school's headmaster submitted a complaint against the visiting members to the BMC. The move has created friction around the civic audit drive, leaving CJP members wary about carrying forward their school inspection campaign across Mumbai.
