Daisy Shah Slams Election Campaigners After Fire Breaks Out Near Her Bandra East Flat

A fire broke out in a residential house in Bandra East, Mumbai, during an election campaign, prompting actress Daisy Shah to criticize election campaigners for a lack of civic sense. The incident occurred at night while the actress was walking her dogs near her apartment.
The fire was allegedly caused by campaign teams bursting firecrackers in close proximity to the residential buildings. Following the incident, Shah shared a video of the scene on her Instagram account, expressing her outrage and calling attention to the safety hazards posed by the campaigners' actions.
In her social media post, Shah condemned the recklessness of the individuals involved and urged political entities to ensure their campaign teams behave responsibly. She emphasized that the incident was entirely preventable and resulted from careless behavior.
"I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them," Shah stated in her post.
The actress also revealed that her building’s residential committee had previously taken steps to restrict the campaigners. According to Shah, the committee had refused to grant the campaign teams permission to go door-to-door within the building premises, a decision she strongly supported in light of the fire.
"Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door. Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it," Shah wrote.
Shah further criticized the general lack of civic responsibility shown by the campaigners, noting that the fire was not a natural occurrence but rather the result of negligent actions. She called on those responsible to take accountability for the hazard.
"This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME," she added.
