IMD Issues Yellow Alert For Thane And Mumbai With Heavy Rain Forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday, August 13, 2026, issued a yellow alert for Thane and Mumbai, forecasting moderate rainfall with the possibility of heavy spells at isolated places throughout the day.

According to the weather forecasting agency, Thane, Mumbai, and surrounding neighbouring areas are likely to remain generally cloudy with spells of moderate rain expected through the day.

Prior to the latest alert, the city had recorded 8.64 mm of rainfall over a 24-hour period.
