Mumbai fitness trainer Karan Sawhney has shared the details of the workout regimen and philosophy behind actor Kriti Sanon's physical preparation for her role in the upcoming movie Cocktail 2.
The actor's appearance in the recently released trailer for the film has drawn significant attention and praise. On June 4, Sawhney posted a behind-the-scenes video on social media to document the training journey that Sanon underwent to prepare for her character, Ally.
According to Sawhney, the physical transformation was heavily influenced by the creative vision of the film's director, Homi Adajania. The trainer explained that when he and Sanon first discussed her goals, they aimed to bring the director's specific vision to life rather than focusing solely on standard fitness milestones.
A key element of this training philosophy was focusing on achieving a "fit and lean" physique, intentionally avoiding the "size zero" body standard. Sawhney emphasized that stepping into the role of Ally pushed Sanon harder than any of her previous fitness challenges.
A major factor in this intense preparation was Sanon's first-ever bikini scene in a film. Sawhney described the process of preparing for this scene as not just a physical challenge, but also a mental and emotional one. He noted that the preparation required the actor to show up and train consistently every single day, even on days when she did not feel motivated to do so.
