Maharashtra FDA Issues Notice to Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA), led by Tukaram Mundhe, has issued show-cause notices to Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff over their appearance in an advertisement for Vimal Elaichi in Mumbai.

The regulatory notices were issued on August 11 as part of a major crackdown by the state authority against misleading commercial advertisements.

In the notice to the celebrity endorsers, the FDA raised questions regarding whether the promotional campaign for Vimal Elaichi amounts to the indirect or surrogate promotion of Vimal Pan Masala, a product currently prohibited in the state of Maharashtra.
