Maharashtra Milk Prices To Increase By Rs 2 Per Litre From August 11

Milk prices across Maharashtra are set to increase by Rs 2 per litre from Tuesday, August 11, following a decision by major cooperative and private dairies to adjust rates amid rising input costs. The price hike will apply to both cow and buffalo milk across the state.

The decision was finalized during a meeting of the Milk Producers and Processors Welfare Association, which was chaired by association president Gopalrao Mhaske. Representatives from major cooperative and private dairies participated in the meeting and approved the revision.

The association cited multiple factors for the decision, including higher diesel rates, increased packaging expenses, and rising milk procurement costs. Dairy operators stated that the escalation in these operational and procurement expenses made the price revision necessary.

With the approval in place, consumers across Maharashtra will see the revised rates for both cow and buffalo milk take effect starting August 11.
