Maharashtra to Sign MoUs to Support Patients' Families at Major Hospitals

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed that memorandums of understanding (MoUs) be signed between charitable organisations and the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Cell to ensure improved facilities and services for patients and their relatives at major hospitals across Maharashtra.

The initiative is designed to address the persistent difficulties faced by families of patients during hospital visits. These challenges include the high cost of medical treatment, lack of accommodation and food facilities, and inadequate guidance at major healthcare facilities.

To address these issues, the Maharashtra state government has decided to bring all stakeholders together to establish a streamlined and transparent support mechanism. Through the proposed agreements, aid and assistance provided by voluntary organisations and charitable hospitals can be delivered directly and promptly to patients’ relatives.

Fadnavis has appealed to charitable organisations and institutions across the state to participate in the initiative to help deliver structured support to families navigating hospital care.
