Maharashtra Tracks Stranded Tourists in Nepal, 4 from Mumbai and Pune Safe

Authorities in Maharashtra are stepping up efforts to trace residents who may have been stranded or gone missing in Nepal following devastating flash floods. State disaster management officials have established contact with four tourists from Mumbai and Pune, confirming they are safe but currently unable to leave the affected region.

The flash floods struck Nepal on Wednesday morning, prompting swift tracking measures by authorities across Maharashtra. Hundreds of people have reportedly gone missing in the wake of the disaster.

State disaster management authorities confirmed that the group of four located individuals includes two tourists from Mumbai and two from Pune. Officials are actively monitoring their situation as tracking operations continue.

In addition to the ongoing tracing efforts, helplines have been issued in Marathwada to help families connect with authorities and receive updates regarding residents who were visiting or travelling in the flood-affected areas.
